Like, maybe these sites were ancient tombs for beings/artifacts/something that have all been pillaged over the years, and someone recently discovered one buried somewhere underneath WPI. But that would be wasting the potential of the whole "Area bought by Upton" thing (Which I think is a goldmine for interesting ideas), as there wouldn't really be a need for them after the artifact has been retrieved.

What if the artifacts were recently unearthed by erosion from all the snow?

Maybe our mystery person discovered the "smallest upton chamber", and it's just literally a safe with a bunch of rocks painted on it?

That'd be funny, at least. We can totally do that as an early thing, at least.

So do you think You guys will go with an ancient burial ground? I don't want to rush things along too much, but if we have a concrete idea of what we want to do by tonight it would give us plenty of time to make the ARG

I super like the idea of the ancient burial ground!

As long as our writers think that they can link this idea to other things like puzzles and player-interactivity, then I'm fine with it.

I like what Will said about the sundial, that could be cool for like a puzzle or something to connect it to campus.

Burial ground works for me too. I'd like to do some supernatural stuff with it, though.

About what we discussed in class:
I like the idea with the seal. I don't know if you guys have been to the old alumni gym/ underground tunnels, which technically you shouldn't because it's trespassing (It's really freaking cool though, I highly recommend), but the whole atmosphere of these places are very creepy and they're all abandoned and run-down. Maybe we could incorporate something that has to do with these places because they're honestly so awesome.
Also one of the steam tunnels just so happens to lead directly under the seal. Maybe that might be of interest.

Just be careful with the underground tunnels, we can get in a lot of trouble for that.

After class I stopped by the sundial to take some photos of the thing. It was too cloudy to see anything right now, but it seems to measure time AND month. Also, we should use the words and names on the plaque in our clues/character names.

Good ideas. I feel like the tunnels would definitely be really cool, but we should check in about those beforehand.
...Also, I haven't seen them, and would love to if we get the okay.
